بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
یٰسٓۚ(۱) وَ الْقُرْاٰنِ الْحَكِیْمِۙ(۲) اِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَۙ(۳) عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِیْمٍؕ(۴) تَنْزِیْلَ الْعَزِیْزِ الرَّحِیْمِۙ(۵) لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّاۤ اُنْذِرَ اٰبَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غٰفِلُوْنَ(۶) لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلٰۤى اَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ(۷) اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِیْۤ اَعْنَاقِهِمْ اَغْلٰلًا فَهِیَ اِلَى الْاَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُّقْمَحُوْنَ(۸) وَ جَعَلْنَا مِنْۢ بَیْنِ اَیْدِیْهِمْ سَدًّا وَّ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَاَغْشَیْنٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا یُبْصِرُوْنَ(۹) وَ سَوَآءٌ عَلَیْهِمْ ءَاَنْذَرْتَهُمْ اَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ(۱۰) اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَ خَشِیَ الرَّحْمٰنَ بِالْغَیْبِۚ-فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَّ اَجْرٍ كَرِیْمٍ(۱۱) اِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْیِ الْمَوْتٰى وَ نَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوْا وَ اٰثَارَهُمْۣؕ-وَ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ اَحْصَیْنٰهُ فِیْۤ اِمَامٍ مُّبِیْنٍ۠(۱۲) وَ اضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَّثَلًا اَصْحٰبَ الْقَرْیَةِۘ-اِذْ جَآءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَۚ(۱۳) اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلَیْهِمُ اثْنَیْنِ فَكَذَّبُوْهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوْۤا اِنَّاۤ اِلَیْكُمْ مُّرْسَلُوْنَ(۱۴)
قَالُوْا مَاۤ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَاۙ-وَ مَاۤ اَنْزَلَ الرَّحْمٰنُ مِنْ شَیْءٍۙ-اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا تَكْذِبُوْنَ(۱۵) قَالُوْا رَبُّنَا یَعْلَمُ اِنَّاۤ اِلَیْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُوْنَ(۱۶) وَ مَا عَلَیْنَاۤ اِلَّا الْبَلٰغُ الْمُبِیْنُ(۱۷) قَالُوْۤا اِنَّا تَطَیَّرْنَا بِكُمْۚ-لَىٕنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهُوْا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَ لَیَمَسَّنَّكُمْ مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ اَلِیْمٌ(۱۸) قَالُوْا طَآىٕرُكُمْ مَّعَكُمْؕ-اَىٕنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْؕ-بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُوْنَ(۱۹) وَ جَآءَ مِنْ اَقْصَا الْمَدِیْنَةِ رَجُلٌ یَّسْعٰى قَالَ یٰقَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِیْنَۙ(۲۰) اتَّبِعُوْا مَنْ لَّا یَسْــٴَـلُكُمْ اَجْرًا وَّ هُمْ مُّهْتَدُوْنَ(۲۱) وَ مَا لِیَ لَاۤ اَعْبُدُ الَّذِیْ فَطَرَنِیْ وَ اِلَیْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ(۲۲) ءَاَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اٰلِهَةً اِنْ یُّرِدْنِ الرَّحْمٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّیْ شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَیْــٴًـا وَّ لَا یُنْقِذُوْنِۚ(۲۳) اِنِّیْۤ اِذًا لَّفِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیْنٍ(۲۴) اِنِّیْۤ اٰمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُوْنِؕ(۲۵) قِیْلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَؕ-قَالَ یٰلَیْتَ قَوْمِیْ یَعْلَمُوْنَۙ(۲۶) بِمَا غَفَرَ لِیْ رَبِّیْ وَ جَعَلَنِیْ مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِیْنَ(۲۷) وَ مَاۤ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلٰى قَوْمِهٖ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ مِنْ جُنْدٍ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ وَ مَا كُنَّا مُنْزِلِیْنَ(۲۸) اِنْ كَانَتْ اِلَّا صَیْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ خٰمِدُوْنَ(۲۹)
یٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى الْعِبَادِۣۚ-مَا یَاْتِیْهِمْ مِّنْ رَّسُوْلٍ اِلَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ(۳۰) اَلَمْ یَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِّنَ الْقُرُوْنِ اَنَّهُمْ اِلَیْهِمْ لَا یَرْجِعُوْنَؕ(۳۱) وَ اِنْ كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِیْعٌ لَّدَیْنَا مُحْضَرُوْنَ۠(۳۲) وَ اٰیَةٌ لَّهُمُ الْاَرْضُ الْمَیْتَةُ ۚۖ-اَحْیَیْنٰهَا وَ اَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ یَاْكُلُوْنَ(۳۳) وَ جَعَلْنَا فِیْهَا جَنّٰتٍ مِّنْ نَّخِیْلٍ وَّ اَعْنَابٍ وَّ فَجَّرْنَا فِیْهَا مِنَ الْعُیُوْنِۙ(۳۴) لِیَاْكُلُوْا مِنْ ثَمَرِهٖۙ-وَ مَا عَمِلَتْهُ اَیْدِیْهِمْؕ-اَفَلَا یَشْكُرُوْنَ(۳۵) سُبْحٰنَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ الْاَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنْۢبِتُ الْاَرْضُ وَ مِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَ مِمَّا لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ(۳۶) وَ اٰیَةٌ لَّهُمُ الَّیْلُ ۚۖ-نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَاِذَا هُمْ مُّظْلِمُوْنَۙ(۳۷) وَ الشَّمْسُ تَجْرِیْ لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَاؕ-ذٰلِكَ تَقْدِیْرُ الْعَزِیْزِ الْعَلِیْمِؕ(۳۸) وَ الْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتّٰى عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُوْنِ الْقَدِیْمِ(۳۹) لَا الشَّمْسُ یَنْۢبَغِیْ لَهَاۤ اَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَ لَا الَّیْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِؕ-وَ كُلٌّ فِیْ فَلَكٍ یَّسْبَحُوْنَ(۴۰) وَ اٰیَةٌ لَّهُمْ اَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّیَّتَهُمْ فِی الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُوْنِۙ(۴۱)
وَ خَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ مِّثْلِهٖ مَا یَرْكَبُوْنَ(۴۲) وَ اِنْ نَّشَاْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِیْخَ لَهُمْ وَ لَا هُمْ یُنْقَذُوْنَۙ(۴۳) اِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَ مَتَاعًا اِلٰى حِیْنٍ(۴۴) وَ اِذَا قِیْلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوْا مَا بَیْنَ اَیْدِیْكُمْ وَ مَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ(۴۵) وَ مَا تَاْتِیْهِمْ مِّنْ اٰیَةٍ مِّنْ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ اِلَّا كَانُوْا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِیْنَ(۴۶) وَ اِذَا قِیْلَ لَهُمْ اَنْفِقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُۙ-قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِلَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْۤا اَنُطْعِمُ مَنْ لَّوْ یَشَآءُ اللّٰهُ اَطْعَمَهٗۤ ﳓ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا فِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیْنٍ(۴۷) وَ یَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ(۴۸) مَا یَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّا صَیْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً تَاْخُذُهُمْ وَ هُمْ یَخِصِّمُوْنَ(۴۹) فَلَا یَسْتَطِیْعُوْنَ تَوْصِیَةً وَّ لَاۤ اِلٰۤى اَهْلِهِمْ یَرْجِعُوْنَ۠(۵۰) وَ نُفِخَ فِی الصُّوْرِ فَاِذَا هُمْ مِّنَ الْاَجْدَاثِ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ یَنْسِلُوْنَ(۵۱) قَالُوْا یٰوَیْلَنَا مَنْۢ بَعَثَنَا مِنْ مَّرْقَدِنَاﱃ هٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَ صَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ(۵۲) اِنْ كَانَتْ اِلَّا صَیْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ جَمِیْعٌ لَّدَیْنَا مُحْضَرُوْنَ(۵۳) فَالْیَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَیْــٴًـا وَّ لَا تُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ(۵۴) اِنَّ اَصْحٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ الْیَوْمَ فِیْ شُغُلٍ فٰكِهُوْنَۚ(۵۵) هُمْ وَ اَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِیْ ظِلٰلٍ عَلَى الْاَرَآىٕكِ مُتَّكِــٴُـوْنَ (۵۶) لَهُمْ فِیْهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّ لَهُمْ مَّا یَدَّعُوْنَۚۖ(۵۷) سَلٰمٌ قَوْلًا مِّنْ رَّبٍّ رَّحِیْمٍ(۵۸) وَ امْتَازُوا الْیَوْمَ اَیُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ(۵۹)
اَلَمْ اَعْهَدْ اِلَیْكُمْ یٰبَنِیْۤ اٰدَمَ اَنْ لَّا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّیْطٰنَۚ-اِنَّهٗ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِیْنٌۙ(۶۰) وَّ اَنِ اعْبُدُوْنِیْﳳ-هٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسْتَقِیْمٌ(۶۱) وَ لَقَدْ اَضَلَّ مِنْكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِیْرًاؕ-اَفَلَمْ تَكُوْنُوْا تَعْقِلُوْنَ(۶۲) هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِیْ كُنْتُمْ تُوْعَدُوْنَ(۶۳) اِصْلَوْهَا الْیَوْمَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ(۶۴) اَلْیَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلٰۤى اَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَ تُكَلِّمُنَاۤ اَیْدِیْهِمْ وَ تَشْهَدُ اَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَكْسِبُوْنَ(۶۵) وَ لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلٰۤى اَعْیُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَاَنّٰى یُبْصِرُوْنَ(۶۶) وَ لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنٰهُمْ عَلٰى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوْا مُضِیًّا وَّ لَا یَرْجِعُوْنَ۠(۶۷) وَ مَنْ نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِی الْخَلْقِؕ-اَفَلَا یَعْقِلُوْنَ(۶۸) وَ مَا عَلَّمْنٰهُ الشِّعْرَ وَ مَا یَنْۢبَغِیْ لَهٗؕ-اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَّ قُرْاٰنٌ مُّبِیْنٌۙ(۶۹) لِّیُنْذِرَ مَنْ كَانَ حَیًّا وَّ یَحِقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى الْكٰفِرِیْنَ(۷۰)
اَوَ لَمْ یَرَوْا اَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ اَیْدِیْنَاۤ اَنْعَامًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مٰلِكُوْنَ(۷۱) وَ ذَلَّلْنٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوْبُهُمْ وَ مِنْهَا یَاْكُلُوْنَ(۷۲) وَ لَهُمْ فِیْهَا مَنَافِعُ وَ مَشَارِبُؕ-اَفَلَا یَشْكُرُوْنَ(۷۳) وَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ یُنْصَرُوْنَؕ(۷۴) لَا یَسْتَطِیْعُوْنَ نَصْرَهُمْۙ-وَ هُمْ لَهُمْ جُنْدٌ مُّحْضَرُوْنَ(۷۵) فَلَا یَحْزُنْكَ قَوْلُهُمْۘ-اِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّوْنَ وَ مَا یُعْلِنُوْنَ(۷۶) اَوَ لَمْ یَرَ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنَّا خَلَقْنٰهُ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ فَاِذَا هُوَ خَصِیْمٌ مُّبِیْنٌ(۷۷) وَ ضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَّ نَسِیَ خَلْقَهٗؕ-قَالَ مَنْ یُّحْیِ الْعِظَامَ وَ هِیَ رَمِیْمٌ(۷۸) قُلْ یُحْیِیْهَا الَّذِیْۤ اَنْشَاَهَاۤ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍؕ-وَ هُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِیْمُۙ (۷۹) الَّذِیْ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِّنَ الشَّجَرِ الْاَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَاِذَاۤ اَنْتُمْ مِّنْهُ تُوْقِدُوْنَ(۸۰) اَوَ لَیْسَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰۤى اَنْ یَّخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ بَلٰىۗ وَ هُوَالْخَلّٰقُ الْعَلِیْمُ(۸۱) اِنَّمَاۤ اَمْرُهٗۤ اِذَاۤ اَرَادَ شَیْــٴًـا اَنْ یَّقُوْلَ لَهٗ كُنْ فَیَكُوْنُ(۸۲) فَسُبْحٰنَ الَّذِیْ بِیَدِهٖ مَلَكُوْتُ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَّ اِلَیْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ۠(۸۳)
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Through Abul A’la Maududi
It Is Believed By Ibn Abbas, Ikrimah, Dahhak, Hasan Basri, And Sufyan Bin Uyainah To Signify “O Man” Or “O Person.” Some Additional Scholars Believe It To Be An Acronym For “Ya Sayyid” As Well, Which Would Be An Address To The Prophet In This View (Peace Be Upon Him).
It Is Not The Case That The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Had Some Doubts About His Prophethood And That Allah Had To Reassure Him Of It By Starting This Dialogue, God Forbid. However, The Real Cause Was The Fierce Rejection Of His Prophethood At The Time By The Doubting Quraish. It Follows That When Allah Remarked At The Outset Of The Speech, “You Are Definitely One Of The Messengers,” He Was Implying That Those Who Reject Your Prophethood Are Deceived And Wrong. (From Sura Yaseen)
To Further Support This, The Quran Has Taken An Oath And Adopted The Adjective “Wise” As Its Own, Which Signifies The Following: This Wisdom-filled Quran Is A Clear Indicator That You Are A Prophet. This Proves That The Individual Giving These Enlightening Insights Is Unquestionably A Messenger Of God. (Surah Y.)
Such Insights Cannot Be Composed By A Man. The Idea That Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Is Either Fabricating These Talks On His Own Or Repeating Them After Having Acquired Them From Another Man Cannot Ever Be Accepted By Those Who Know Him. See Surah Yunus, Ayats 16–17, 37–39; Surah Bani–israil, Ayat 88; Surah An–naml, Ayat 75; Surah Al–qasas, Ayats 44–46, 85–87; Surah Al–ankabut, Ayats 49–51; And Surah Ar–rum, Ayats 1–5, As Well As The Pertinent E.
Two Characteristics Of The Sender Of The Quran Have Been Stated In This Passage. He Is First And Foremost All-mighty And All-merciful. The Quran Is The Edict Of The Owner Of The Universe, Who Is All-mighty, Whose Decrees Cannot Be Withheld From Being Enforced By Any Power, And Whose Grasp Cannot Be Evaded By Anyone. This Is Meant To Impress The Reality That The Quran Is Not The Counsel Of A Powerless Preacher, Which If You Overlook Or Ignore, Will Not Harm You. (From Sura Yaseen)
The Second Quality Is Designed To Help One Understand That It Was Only Out Of Love And Mercy That He Sent His Messenger To Be Your Guide And Teacher And Sent This Magnificent Book Down So That You May Avoid Mistakes And Pursue The Proper Path That Could Help You Succeed In This Life And The Next.
You Should Warn The People Of The Same Things That Their Forebears Were Warned Of Since They Live Carelessly, According To Another Translation. If The First Interpretation Of The Passage Is Adopted, The Forebears Would Be Understood To Refer To The Ancestors Of The Recent Past Since Various Prophets Had Originally Appeared In Arabia In Antiquity. And If The Second Interpretation Is Chosen, It Would Indicate That The Prophets Should Revive And Renew The Message They Once Delivered To The Ancestors Of This Country Since They Have Now Forgotten It. Naturally, There Is No Conflict Between The Two Translations, And Each One Is Accurate In Its Own Context In Terms Of Meaning.
One Would Wonder How The Founding Ancestors Of A Country, To Whom No Warner Had Been Delivered At A Certain Moment In The Past, Could Be Held Accountable For Their Divergence At That Time. The Correct Response Is That When Allah Brings A Prophet Into The World, His Message And Teachings Have A Profound Impact That Is Passed Down From One Generation To The Next. The Era Of Time Cannot Be Deemed To Be Without Guidance As Long As This Influence Endures And As Long As Those Who Maintain The Prophet’s Message Of Guidance Current Continue To Emerge Among His Followers. Additionally, The Appointment Of A New Prophet Is Inevitable Whenever The Prophet’s Doctrine Loses Its Impact Or Is Corrupted. (Surah Y.)
Before The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), The Teachings Of Abraham, Ishmael, Shuaib, Moses, And Jesus (Peace Be Upon All Of Them) Could Be Felt Across Arabia, And Sometimes Persons Would Emerge Among The Arabs Or Travel From Outside To Revive Their Teachings. Allah Raised The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) When The Influence Was About To Fade And The True Teaching Was Also Being Perverted, And He Established Measures So That His Word Cannot Be Altered Or Erased. (For Further Information, See Surah Saba, E. N. 5)
This Relates To Those Individuals Who Choose Not To Listen To The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) At All Due To Their Obstinacy And Stubbornness Toward His Message. This Is Due To The Fact That They Do Not Believe And Have Already Earned The Punishment.
The Message Is That Those Who Disobey The Warning And Continue To Reject The Truth Notwithstanding The Last Warning From Allah Sent Via The Prophets Will Be Overcome By The Terrible Effects Of Their Sins And Denied The Chance To Come To Faith. The Same Idea Is More Explicitly Stated In Verse 11 Below: Only The One Who Heeds The Advice And Shudders At The Thought Of The Merciful God, Whom He Cannot See, May Be Forewarned. (From Sura Yaseen)
The Word “Shackles” In This Stanza Alludes To Their Own Resistance To The Truth, Which Was Keeping Them From Embracing It. Reaching To Chins And “Thus They Are Created Stiff-necked” Imply A Stiff Neck Brought On By Haughtiness And Pride. Allah Wants To Make This Point Plain: We Have Bound Their Obstinacy And Stubbornness Around Their Necks, And Their Pride And Haughtiness Have Stiffened Their Necks To The Point That They Would Not Listen To Any Fact, No Matter How Obvious And Clear It May Be. Suraya Yasin
Setting A Barrier In Front Of Them And A Barrier Behind Them Means That Their Pride And Stubbornness Naturally Prevent Them From Ever Reflecting About The Implications Of Their Actions In The Present Or Future. Their Preconceptions And Biases Have So Completely Obscured Their Vision That They Are Unable To See Even Those Obvious Truths That Are Obvious To Any Right-thinking, Impartial Individual.
This Does Not Imply That Preaching Is Pointless, But Rather That All Types Of Individuals Are Reached By Your Sermons. Some Of Them Are The Individuals Described Above, While Others Are The Individuals Mentioned In The Following Verse.
You Should Leave The First Type Of People Alone If You Encounter Them And Observe Their Persistence In Denial, Pride, And Hostility. This Demonstrates That There Are Three Different Types Of Entries Made In Men’s Conduct Books. Any Action, Whether Good Or Harmful, Is First Recorded In The Heavenly Register. Second, Whatever Imprints A Person Leaves On The Physical Components Of His Environment As Well As On The Parts Of His Own Body Itself Are Preserved, And All Of These Imprints Will Eventually Become So Obvious That A Person’s Voice Can Be Heard, As Well As A Timeline Of All Of His Thoughts, Intentions, Goals, And Accomplishments As Well As Visual Representations Of All Of His Good And Bad Deeds.
Third, Whatever Legacies He Has Left Of His Good And Evil Deeds On His Offspring, On His Society, And On Humanity As A Whole Will Continue To Be Noted In His Account As Far As They Travel And As Long As They Continue To Be Active And Operational. The Whole Record Of The Education His Children Received—both Excellent And Poor—the Good Or Bad He Transmitted Across Society, And Its Effect On All Of Humanity Will Continue To Be Kept On File For As Long As It Continues To Have A Positive Or Negative Influence On The Globe. Furthermore, According To The Bible, Antioch Was The First Place Where Non-israelites Accepted Christianity In Great Numbers And Where The Christian Faith Experienced Great Success; In Contrast, The Quran Mentions A Place Of Residence That Rejected The Messengers’ Invitation And Was Subsequently Punished With A Divine Torment. Additionally, There Is No Historical Proof That Antioch Has Ever Suffered A Catastrophe That Might Be Attributed To Rejecting The Prophethood. Suraya Yasin

And The Unjust People Begin To Murmur Among Themselves, “This Guy Is Nothing More Than A Human Being Like Yourself,” To Each Other. What, Would This Magic Then Tempt You While You Observe It? (Ayat 3 Of Surah Al-anbiya).
The Quran Refutes This False Belief Held By The Makkans And Claims That It Is Not A New Kind Of Ignorance On Their Part; Rather, All Ignorant People Have Been Misled Into Believing That A Human Cannot Be A Messenger And That A Messenger Cannot Be A Human From The Beginning Of Time. The Same Thing Was Expressed When The Leaders Of The Prophet Noah’s (Peace Be Upon Him) People Rejected His Prophecy:
This Guy Is Only A Fellow Human Being, Just Like You. He Just Wants To Be Superior To You By Doing This. If Allah Had Desired, Angels Would Have Descended. We Haven’t Heard Anything Like This Since The Days Of Our Ancestors (That A Human Being Should Come As A Messenger). (Ayat 24 Of Sura Al-mominoon).
This Individual Is No More Than A Human Being Like Yourself, Because He Eats Of What You Eat And Drinks Of What You Drink, The People Of Aad Had Stated Of The Prophet Hud (Peace Be Upon Him). Now, You Will Certainly Lose If You Succumb To A Creature Like Yourself. (Ayats 33–34 Of Sura Al-mominoon). (Surah Y.)
Shall We Follow A Man From Among Ourselves? The Thamudites Questioned The Prophet Salih (Peace Be Upon Him) (Surah Al-qamar, Ayat 24). The Same Thing Happened With Almost Every Prophet In That The Unbelievers Would Say: “You Are Nothing More Than Human Beings Like Us,” To Which The Prophets Would Always Respond: “It Is True That We Are Nothing More Than Human Beings Like You, But Allah Shows His Favour To Any Of His Servants He Pleases.” (Ayats 10–11 Of Surah Ibrahim)

“All The Messengers We Dispatched Before You Consumed Meals And Went About Their Daily Business In The Streets (Surah Al-furqan, Ayat 20).
Say To Them, “Had Angels Inhabited The Earth And Roamed It In Peace, We Would Have Sent An Angel As A Messenger To You,” O Prophet. (Ayat 95 Of The Bani Israel Sura).
Another Ignorant Presumption That Was Held By Makkah’s Unbelievers Is This One. The So-called Rationalists Of Today Are Likewise Implicated In It, And From The Beginning Of Time, Doubters Of Revelation And Prophethood Have Been A Part Of It. They Have Retained The Belief That Allah Does Not Send Down Any Kind Of Revelation For The Instruction Of Mankind. He Has Left The Concerns And Difficulties Of Man To Be Resolved By Man Alone Since He Is Only Concerned With The Business Of The Skies. Suraya Yasin
That Is To Say, The Only Responsibility We Have Is To Deliver The Word That Allah Has Given Us To You. The Decision To Accept Or Reject It Is Then Yours. As A Result Of Your Refusal To Believe It, We Will Not Be Seized; Instead, You Will Be Held Accountable For Your Crimes. We Have Not Been Given The Authority To Force You To Embrace It.
They Were Saying That You Were A Bad Omen For Us. Due To What You Have Been Saying About Our Gods, They Are Now Furious With Us. Now, Whatever Catastrophe Is Befalling Us Is All Your Fault. Exactly The Same Thing Used To Be Stated About The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) By The Disbelievers And Hypocrites Of Arabia: If They Incur A Loss, They Say: This Is Because Of You.
(Ayat 77 Of Sura An-nisa). These People Have Been Informed Several Times In The Quran That Ignorant Remarks About Their Prophets Were Also Made In The Past By Humans. The Thamudi People Addressed Their Prophet, Saying, “We See You And Your Entourage As A Sign Of Evil Portent” (Surah An-namal, Ayat 47). The Egyptians Had The Same Mentality: When Good Things Happened, They Would Say, “This Is Just Our Due,” And When Bad Things Happened, They Would Blame Moses (Peace Be Upon Him) And His Companions. (Ayat 130 Of Sura Al-aaraf).
That Is, Nobody Should Be Seen As A Bad Omen For Another. Every Person’s Fortune Hangs Around His Or Her Own Neck. When Someone Sees Something Bad, It’s Because Of Themselves, And When They See Something Wonderful, It’s Also Because Of Themselves. Every Man’s Augury Has Been Shackled To His Own Neck. (Ayat 13 Of Sura Bani Israil).
That Is, You Prefer The Deviation To The Advice Because You Really Wish To Avoid The Good. Because Of Your Superstitious Whims, You Are Making These Incorrect Claims Rather Than Using An Argument To Determine What Is True And Untrue. (Surah Y.)
In One Single Remark, The Servant Of God Assembled All The Justifications Needed To Assess The Reliability Of Prophecy. There Are Two Ways To Judge A Prophet’s Sincerity. His Words And Actions Come First, Followed By His Selflessness. First, What These Individuals Are Saying Makes Complete Sense, And They All Have Good Moral Character. Second, No One Can Show That They Are Urging Others To Adopt This Religion Out Of Self-interest.
Therefore, There Is No Justification For Not Paying Attention To Them. As If To Say: The Speech And Action Of The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Carry Complete Proof That He Is On The Correct Road, The Quran Established A Standard Before The People For How To Assess And Determine The Authenticity Of The Prophethood Of A Prophet By Referencing This Reasoning Of The Individual. No One Will Thereafter Be Able To Identify Any Self-serving Goals Or Interests Driving His Battle To Spread His Ideas. So There Is No Justification For A Sane Individual To Reject What He Offers.
Two Clauses Make Up This Sentence. The First Section Is A Masterwork Of Logic, And The Second, Of Teaching Knowledge. He States In The First Section That Worshipping The Creator Is What Reason And Nature Require; It Would Be Exceedingly Irrational For Someone To Adore Those Who Did Not Create Them And To Reject Serving The One Who Did. He Issues The Following Warning To His Followers In The Second Section: You Will All Eventually Die And Return To The God Whose Worship You Reject. You Should Thus Decide For Yourselves What Goodness You May Anticipate If You Turn Away From Him.
They Are Neither So Strong That They Should Be Able To Save Me If God Chooses To Punish Me, Nor Are They Such Favourites Of God That He Would Forgive Me Even If I Commit Serious Sins On Their Advice.
If, Even Knowing All Of This, I Still Make Them My Gods.
Another Subtle Reference To The Wisdom Of Preaching May Be Found In This Statement. The Guy Helped The Populace Understand By Saying This: “The Lord In Whom I Have Trusted Is Not Just My Lord But Your Lord As Well.” Though You Are Undoubtedly Making A Mistake By Rejecting Him, I Have Done Nothing Wrong By Trusting In Him. That Is, The Guy Received The Wonderful News Of Paradise Soon After His Sacrifice. The Angels Were There To Greet Him As Soon As He Passed Through The Doorway Of Death And They Informed Him That Paradise Was Waiting For Him. The Meaning Of This Statement Has Been Debated By The Commenters. According To Qatadah, Allah Immediately Welcomed Him Into Paradise, Where He Is Now Residing And Taking His Nourishment. The Good News, According To Mujahid, Is That He Will Join The Other Believers In Paradise On The Day Of The Resurrection. This Was Revealed To Him By The Angels.
This Is An Example Of The Believer’s Strong Moral Character; He Felt No Malice Or Desire For Revenge Against Those Who Had Just Slain Him, Nor Did He Consider Invoking Allah Against Them. Instead, He Continued To Wish Them Well. After Passing Away, His One And Only Request Was For His People To Understand The Happy Outcome Of His Life, Take Something Positive Away From It (If Not From It), And Follow The Moral Path. The Honourable Guy Wanted His Killers To Believe And Earn Their Way Into Paradise Rather Than Sending Them To Hell. He Wished His Folks Well While They Were Alive And While They Were Dead, Which Is Commendable In The Hadith. (From Sura Yaseen)
This Incident Was Related By Allah To Makkah’s Unbelievers As A Warning: Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) And His Companions Who Were Believers Are Also Your Well-wishers, Just As The Believer Was Of His People. Despite Your Mistreatment Of Them, They Do Not Harbour Any Malice Or Desire For Retribution. They Are Not Your Adversaries; Rather, They Are Those Of Your Wrong And Deviance. Their Main Goal In Fighting You Is For You To Follow The Correct Path.
Another Verse That Unequivocally Establishes The Presence Of Barzakh Is This One. This Demonstrates That, Contrary To What Some Uninformed People Believe, There Is Life Between Death And The Resurrection. But Throughout This Time, The Spirit Continues To Be Concerned About The People Of The World, Continues To Speak And Hear Speech, Has Sentiments And Wants, And Feels Both Joyful And Miserable. If It Weren’t The Case, The Believer Wouldn’t Have Heard The Wonderful News Of Paradise After Death And Wouldn’t Have Been Able To Desire For His People To Know Of His Happy Ending. (Surah Y.)
There Is Subtle Sarcasm In These Statements. They Believed They Would Destroy The Three Prophets And Their Adherents Because Of Their Haughty Pride In Their Authority And Fierce Opposition To The Genuine Religion, But In Contrast To Their Plan, They Were Destroyed By Only One Blow Of Divine Vengeance.
That Is To Say, They Were Eliminated To The Point That Nothing Remained Of Them. Even Now, Nobody In The World Even Remembers Them. Both Their People And Culture Are No Longer Extant.
Up To This Point, Makkan Disbelievers Had Received Warnings And Rebukes For Their Rejection Of The Truth And The Antagonistic Stance They Had Taken Toward The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). (From Sura Yaseen)
The Discussion Now Shifts To The Fundamental Issue That Was The Real Reason Why The Disbelievers And The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Were At Odds, Namely The Theory Of Tauhid And The Hereafter That The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Was Presenting And That The Disbelievers Were Reluctant To Embrace. As If To Say, “Observe These Phenomena Of The Cosmos, Which Are Continually There Before You,” A Number Of Arguments Have Been Presented In This Regard, One After The Other, To Get People To Think About The Reality. They All Lead To The Same Fact That This Prophet Is Laying Out For You, Don’t They?
“A Sign”: A Proof That Tauhid Is The Reality And Avoids The Untruth.
This Phrase May Also Be Translated As “So That They May Consume The Products Thereof And What Their Own Hands Create.” This Refers To The Artificial Food Types That Humans Make From Natural Ingredients, Such As Bread, Curries, Jam, Pickles, Sauces, And A Plethora Of Other Items.
The Case For The Existence Of Plants And Vegetables On Earth Has Been Made In These Few Phrases. Man Consumes Earthen Goods Continuously And Considers This To Be Very Normal. But If He Gives It Considerable Thought, He Will See That Although The Development Of Rich Harvests, Lush Green Gardens, And The Flow Of Springs And Rivers May Appear To Occur Naturally, There Is Really A Tremendous Deal Of Wisdom, Power, And Providence At Work.
Think About The Earth’s Reality. The Elements That Make Up Its Composition Lack Any Inherent Ability To Develop. Thirdly, The Earth Was Created With An Atmosphere That Surrounds It, Shields It From The Sky’s Disasters, Facilitates Rains, And Contains Gases Essential To Plant Life And Development.
Fourthly, A Connection Was Made Between The Sun And The Ground So That The Plants Would Have The Right Temperature And Seasons. (Surah Y.)
It Is Feasible For The Plant To Come To Life With The Presence Of These Primary Elements, Which Are Mixtures Of Countless Additional Variables. Each Type Of Plant Was Given A Seed That Was Constructed In Such A Way That, Once It Obtained Good Soil, Water, Air, And Season, Vegetable Life Should Start Stirring Inside It. Additionally, A Method Was Designed Into Each Seed So That, When A Plant Grew From It, It Would Have All The Traits And Genetics Of The Species From Which It Came.
Then, In Addition To This, Even More Excellent Deed Was Carried Out. The Earth’s Vegetation Was Not Created In Quantities Of Twenty, Fifty, Or One Hundred, But In An Infinite Number Of Species, All Of Which Were Designed To Meet The Needs Of The Countless Varieties Of Animals And People Who Would Come Into Existence After The Vegetation On The Planet, Including Those For Food, Clothing, Medicine, And Other Necessities.
If He Is Not Obstinate And Biassed, Anybody Who Considers This Amazing Arrangement Would Affirm For Themselves That It Could Not Have Happened On Its Own. There Is Undoubtedly A Wise Plan Behind It, According To Which The Harmonies And Relationships Between The Soil, Water, Air, And Season And The Vegetation, As Well As The Harmonies And Relationships Between The Vegetation And The Needs And Requirements Of Animals And Humans, Have Been Determined, All While Taking Into Account The Tiniest Details.
No Sane Individual Can Think That These All-encompassing, Global Connections Are Just A Coincidence. The Fact That This Cannot Be The Product Of Several Gods Is Shown By The Same Delicate Arrangement. The Only Person Who Could Have Created The Earth, Water, Air, Sun, Plants, Animals, And People Is The One And Only God. It Is Inconceivable That Such A Complete And Global Scheme With Such A Profound And Intelligent Connection And Harmony Could Have Been Created And Could Have Continued To Function With Such Regularity For Millions Upon Millions Of Years If Each Of These Had Its Own Deity. Allah Asks: Do They Not Then Express Gratitude After Presenting These Defences Of Tauhid? The Question Is: Are These People So Ungrateful And Unthankful That They Do Not Give Gratitude To The God Who Has Supplied Everything For Their Survival But Instead Praise Others For His Favours And Blessings? Are They So Miserable That, Rather Than Bending Down To Worship Him, They Prostrate Themselves Before Idols That Did Not Even Produce A Blade Of Grass For Them?
Glory To Him: He Is Without Flaw Or Fault, Weakness Or Mistake, And That Someone Should Be His Partner Or Companion In His Work. These Are The Terms That The Quran Often Uses To Refute Polytheistic Ideas Since Every Shirk Belief Really Imputes Some Flaw, Weakness, Or Fault To Allah. When Someone Claims That Allah Has A Partner, He Really Believes That Either Allah Cannot Manage And Rule His Kingdom Alone Or That He Is Compelled To Appoint Another Person As His Partner In His Task. (Surah Y.)
Another Possibility Is That Certain Other Creatures Are So Strong In Themselves That They Are Interfering With God’s Leadership, And God Is Tolerating Their Interference. Or, God Forbid, Allah May Possess The Flaws Of Earthly Monarchs, Causing Him To Be Surrounded By A Legion Of Ministers, Courtiers, Flatterers, And Adored Princes Or Princesses, Dividing Many Of The Divine Attributes Among Them. There Could Not Have Been Any Issue Of Any Concept Of Shirk In The World If There Had Not Been Such Thoughts Of Ignorance About Allah In The Minds. The Quran Repeatedly States That Allah Is Free From And Far Elevated Above The Flaws, Faults, And Infirmities That The Mushriks Attribute To Him.
This Is Just Another Justification For Tauhid. Once Again, Some Truths Of Everyday Life Have Been Brought Up, And It Is Stated That While Man Sees These Realities Day And Night, He Does Not Give Them Significant Thought Even Though They Contain Clues And Indicators Of The Truth. Man’s Own Birth Is A Result Of The Union Of The Man And Woman. (From Sura Yaseen)
Animal Reproduction Is Also A Result Of The Union Of The Male And The Female. Man Is Also Aware That The Law Of Sex Operates In Plants. When Various Objects Mix With One Another, A Diversity Of Compounds Are Created, Even Among The Dead Components. Because Of The Strong Affinity Between The Positive And Negative Electric Charges, It Is Now Feasible To Understand The Fundamental Makeup Of Matter.
This Law Of Pairs, Which Is The Foundation For The Existence Of The Entire Universe, Contains Such Intricacies And Finenesses Of Wisdom And Workmanship, And There Are Such Harmonies And Mutual Relationships Between The Members Of Each Pair, That An Objective Observer Can Neither Regard It As The Result Of An Accident, Nor Can He Believe That Many Different Gods Might Have Created These Countless Pairs And Matched Their Members, One With The Other, With Such Great Care. The Fact That Each Pair’s Members Complement One Another Perfectly And That New Things Are Created As A Result Of Their Combination Is A Clear Indication That The Creator Is The One And Only One. Because It Is A Daily Occurrence And Experience, Man Does Not Pay Much Attention To The Alternation Of The Night And Day. However, If He Thinks About How The Day Goes By And How The Night Falls, And What Wisdom There Is In The Passing Of The Day And The Falling Of The Night, He Will Realise That This Is A Clear Indication Of The Existence Of An All-powerful And All-wise Allah And That He Is One And Only.
Until The Sun Conceals From The Earth, The Day Cannot End And Night Cannot Descend. Without The Sun And The Earth Being Connected In One Continuous System, It Would Be Impossible For Day And Night To Alternate With Such Remarkable Regularity. The Intricate Connection Between The Day And Night Cycle And The Other Earthly Things, Therefore, Strongly Suggests That This System Was Consciously Created By A Being Of Unsurpassed Knowledge. In Reality, Placing The Earth At A Specific Distance From The Sun With The Intention That Different Parts Of The Earth Should Continue Successively Coming Before The Sun And Hiding From It At Specific Intervals Is What Led To The Existence Of Humans, Animals, Plants, And Even Water, Air, And Different Minerals On Earth.
No Life Could Have Existed On This Planet If The Earth’s Distance From The Sun Had Been A Little Bit Longer Or Shorter, Or If There Had Been A Perpetual Night On One Side Of It And A Perpetual Day On The Other, Or If The Day And Night Cycles Had Alternated Much More Quickly Or Slowly, Or If Sometimes The Day Appeared Suddenly And Other Times The Night Had No Set Pattern, And Even The Shape And Appearance Of Inorganic Substances Would Have Been Very Different. If One’s Hearts Are Not Clouded By Blindness, One Can Clearly See The Workings Of A God In This System, Who Willed The Creation Of This Specific Type Of Creation On Earth And Then Established The Relevance, Harmonies, And Relationships Between The Earth And The Sun Precisely In Accordance With Those Needs And Requirements. If Someone Thinks That The Idea Of God And His Unity Is Illogical, They Should Consider How Much More Illogical It Would Be To Attribute This Marvellous Creation To Several Gods Or To Believe That It All Occurred Automatically According To Some Deaf And Blind Rule Of Nature.
When Someone Who Can Accept These Latter Illogical Explanations Without Question, Based Only On Conjecture And Speculation, Claims That The Existence Of A System, Wisdom, And Purpose Is Not Sufficient Proof Of God’s Existence, It Is Hard For Us To Believe That They Actually Feel The Need And Necessity Of A Rational Proof, Sufficient Or Insufficient In Any Degree Whatsoever, For Accepting Any Concept Of Creed In The World.
The Phrase “Place Of Rest” May Refer To Either The Location Or The Precise Moment The Sun Will Stop Rising. Only After Man Has Gained Complete And Perfect Understanding Of The Truths Of The Cosmos Will The Actual Significance Of This Poem Be Understood. However, Because Of The Way That Human Knowledge Has Evolved Through Time, What He Seems To Know Now May No Longer Be True Tomorrow. Based On Their Views Of The Sun, The Ancient People Thought That It Was Revolving Around The Earth. Further Study And Observation Led To The Conclusion That The Sun Was Stationary And That The Solar System’s Planets Revolved Around It. (From Sura Yaseen)
However, This Hypothesis Was Likewise Short-lived. Later Measurements Showed That All Of The Stars, Including The Sun, Are Travelling In The Same General Direction At Rates Ranging From 10 To 100 Miles Per Second. Modern Scientists Believe That The Sun And Its Whole Family Of Planets Are Travelling At A Pace Of 20 Kilometres (About 12 Miles) Per Second. (See Encyclopedia Britannica’s Star And Sun.)
In Other Words, The Moon’s Phases Continue To Change Throughout The Month. It Starts Out As A Crescent And Continues To Get Larger Every Day Until The 14th Of The Month, When It Reaches Its Full Size. Then It Begins To Fade Each Day Until It Finally Takes On Its Original Form Of A Crescent. For Millions Of Years, The Same Has Happened With Perfect Regularity, And The Moon’s Phases Have Never Changed. Because Of This, It Is Possible To Calculate And Determine The Moon’s Precise Phase At Any Given Time. Estimating The Phases Of The Moon Would Not Have Been Conceivable If Its Movement Had Not Been Constrained By A System. (From Sura Yaseen)
Both Of The Possible Interpretations Of This Phrase Are Accurate.
(1) The Sun Lacks The Force Necessary To Pull The Moon Into Itself Or For It To Enter Its Orbit And Clash With It.
(2) The Hours Set Aside For The Moon’s Rising And Setting Cannot Coincide With The Sun’s Appearance. When The Moon Is Out At Night, It Is Impossible For The Sun To Emerge On The Horizon At Once.
It Also Doesn’t Happen That The Night Should Start Extending Its Darkness Unexpectedly At The Time When The Day Is Intended To Spread Its Brightness And That It Should Approach Before The Designated Period Of The Day Comes To A Conclusion.
When Referring To A Planet’s Orbit In Arabic, The Term Falak Has A Distinct Connotation From The Word Sama (Sky). Each In An Orbit Is Floating, Which Highlights Four Realities. (Surah Y.)
(1) All Celestial Bodies, Including The Stars, Planets, The Sun And Moon, Are In Motion.
(2) Each Of Them Has A Distinct Falak, Or Orbit.
(3) The Stars Are Moving Inside The Orbits Rather Than The Stars Moving With The Orbits.
(4) That Anything Floating In A Fluid Is Analogous To How The Stars Move In Their Orbits.
These Verses Are Not Meant To Describe The Astronomical Realities; Rather, They Are Meant To Convey To Man That If He Uses His Common Sense And Looks Around Him With Open Eyes, He Will Find Countless And Innumerable Evidences Of The Existence Of God And His Unity And Not A Single Instance Of Atheism Or Shirk. The Solar System That Includes Our Planet Is So Large That Its Parent Body, The Sun, Is 300,000 Times Larger Than The Earth And That Neptune, Its Farthest Planet, Is At Least 2,793 Million Miles Away From The Sun.
Pluto, On The Other Hand, Orbits The Furthest Planet, Pluto, At A Distance Of 4,600,000,000 Miles. Despite Its Size, The Solar System Only Makes Up A Tiny Portion Of The Enormous Cosmos. Our Solar System’s Galaxy Has Around 3,000 Million Suns, And The Light From The Closest One Travels From That Sun To Our Planet’s Surface Over A Period Of Four Years. So Our Galaxy Is Not The Whole Universe Either. According To The Research Done So Far, It Is Thought To Be One Of Around 2,000,000 Spiral Nebulae, And The Closest One To The Planet Is Located About A Million Light Years Distant.
The Light From The Celestial Bodies That Are The Farthest Away That May Be Seen With Current Technology Takes Around 100 Million Years To Reach The Earth. Man Has Not Yet Been Said To Have Seen The Whole Of The Cosmos. The Portion Of The Kingdom Of God That Man Has So Far Been Able To See Is A Little One. With Better And More Effective Tools For Observation At His Disposal, It Is Impossible To Foresee How Far And How Deep Man Will Be Able To Look Yet.
All Of The Knowledge We Currently Have About The Universe Shows That It Is Composed Of The Same Material As Our Tiny Earthly World, And That The Same Laws That Govern Our World Also Govern The Universe; Otherwise, It Would Not Have Been Possible For Man To Have Observed The Extremely Faraway Planets From The Earth, Measured Their Distances, And Calculated Their Motions.
Is This Not Conclusive Evidence That There Is Only One God And That His Kingdom Rules Over The Whole Cosmos? Then, No Sane Person Can Assume That All Of This Just Happened On Its Own Given The Order, Intelligence, Perfection Of Craftsmanship, And Complex Connections Present In The Millions And Billions Of Stars And Planets Spinning Inside The Hundreds Of Thousands Of Galaxies. Is It Conceivable That There Would Be No Overseer Behind This System Of Rules And Regulations, No Sage Behind This Knowledge, No Artist Behind This Creation, And No Planner Behind This Organisation?
The Noah’s Ark Is Described As “A Heavy Vessel” (Peace Be Upon Him). When The Progeny Of Man Boarded The Ark, It Meant That Although It Appeared That Only A Few Of The Prophet Noah’s (Peace Be Upon Him) Companions Had Done So, In Reality, All Human Beings Who Would Be Born Up Until The Day Of Resurrection Were Aboard; The Rest Of Mankind Had Perished In The Flood, And All Subsequent Humans Are The Offspring Of Those Who Were Saved In The Ark.
This Suggests That The Prophet Noah Created The First Vessel Ever Produced In The History Of The Planet (Peace Be Upon Him). Mankind Had No Technique For Bridging Rivers Or Oceans Prior To That Period. The Prophet Noah (Peace Be Upon Him) Was Originally Instructed In This Technique By Allah, And When Some Of His Followers Were Saved From The Deluge Using It, Their Offspring Began Building Boats And Ships For Sea Travel. (Surah Y.)
The Indications Presented So Far Have Been Cited In Support Of Tauhid. This Indication Has Been Suggested To Help People Understand That Whatever Control They May Have Over Natural Forces Is A Gift From Allah, Not Something They Have Earned Themselves. And Whatever Strategies He Has Developed For Using These Powers Were Not Only Developed By Him; They Were Also Made Possible By Allah’s Guidance. Man Did Not Have The Strength Or Skill To Control These Powerful Energies On His Own, Nor Did He Possess The Knowledge Necessary To Unlock The Mysteries Of Nature And Learn How To Use Them For His Benefit.
Then, He Is Only Permitted To Utilise And Deploy The Forces That Allah Has Granted Him Sovereignty Over For As Long As Allah Intends For Them To Be Under His Control. Because When Allah Wills Otherwise, The Same Forces That Were Working For Man Suddenly Turn Against Him, Leaving Him Completely Defenceless In Their Face. Allah Has Just Used The Example Of The Sea Trip To Draw Man’s Attention To This Fact. If Noah (Peace Be Upon Him) And His Companions Had Not Boarded The Vessel That Allah Had Instructed Them How To Build, The Whole Human Race Would Have Perished In The Deluge.
Only After Learning The Fundamentals Of Constructing Boats From Allah And Developing The Ability To Traverse Rivers And Seas Did The Human Race Begin To Be Dispersed Throughout The Whole Planet. But Despite Making Vast Advancements In The Skill Of Constructing Enormous Ships And Achieving The Pinnacle Of Navigational Knowledge, Man Cannot Claim To Have Taken The Rivers And The Seas Completely Under His Control And Dominion From That Modest Beginning To The Present. Even Now, God Still Has All Of The Power Over The Sea, And Whenever He Chooses, He Drowns People And Their Ships In It.
What Is “Behind You” Refers To What Others Who Came Before You Saw And Experienced.
“Signals” Include The Verses In The Holy Book That Warn Man As Well As The Universal, Internal, And Historical Signs That Serve As Painful Lessons For Him, If He Is Willing To Learn Anything From Them.
To Demonstrate That Their Moral Sense Has Also Been Shattered By Unbelief, Which Has Also Rendered Their Intellect Blind. They Neither Think About Allah In The Proper Way Nor Behave Toward Others In The Correct Way. They Respond Poorly To Every Warning, Adhere To A Warped Mentality In Defiance Of Every Sin And Deviance, And Have A Ready-made Excuse For Evading Every Obligation.
The Subject Of The Hereafter Followed Tauhid As The Next Topic Of Contention Between The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) And The Unbelievers. The Discourse’s Conclusion Includes Logical Defences Of This. The Hereafter Has Been Shown Here With All Of Its Horrors Before The Reasons Are Presented So That The People Would Understand That What They Are Rejecting Cannot Be Avoided By Their Denial, But That They Will Meet And Experience It Eventually. The Question Wasn’t Meant To Imply That They Wanted To Know The Precise Time The Hereafter Would Arrive; However, If They Had Been Told, For Example, That It Would Occur On Such And Such A Date In Such And Such A Month And Year, Their Scepticism Would Have Been Allayed And They Would Have Accepted It. In Actuality, Such Questions Were Merely Posed As A Challenge For The Sake Of Discussion. They Were Really Implying That There Wouldn’t Be Any Kind Of Resurrection, As If To Say, “You’re Frightening Us With Resurrection Without Cause Or Rhyme.” Because Of This, It Has Not Been Said In Response That The Resurrection Will Occur On Such-and-such A Day, But Rather That It Will Arrive And Be Accompanied By Such-and-such Horrors.
In Other Words, The Resurrection Won’t Happen Gradually So That People May Watch It Happen At Their Leisure; Rather, It Will Happen Suddenly, When People Are Going About Their Everyday Lives And Have No Notion That The End Of The World Is Near.
Everyone Will Perish Instantly Due To A Catastrophic Explosion. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Is Reported To Have Said In A Hadith That The People Will Be Going About Their Daily Business—walking The Streets, Shopping In The Markets, And Having Disagreements In Their Assemblies—when Suddenly The Trumpet Will Sound. Abdullah Bin Amr And Abu Hurairah Related This Hadith. The Person Who Was Buying Cloth Would Then Pass Out And Not Have Time To Put The Cloth Out Of His Hand; The Person Who Was Filling A Cistern To Water His Animals Would Then Not Have Time To Water; And The Person Who Was Going To Eat Would Then Not Have Time To Lift The Morsel To His Mouth, And The Resurrection Would Then Occur.
See E.n. 78 Of Surah Taha For A Description Of The Trumpet Blowing Ceremony. We Don’t Know How Long It Takes Between The Trumpet’s First And Second Blows; Such Information Is Unknown. The Time Span Might Be Tens Of Thousands Of Years. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Reportedly Said: “Israfil Has Placed The Trumpet To His Lips And Is Staring Up To The Almighty Throne, Waiting For Instructions To Blow It,” According To Abu Huraira. Everything On Earth And In The Skies Will Be Terrified At The First Blowing, Known As Nafakhat Al-faza. The Second Blowing, Known As Nafakhat As-saaq, Will Cause Everyone To Collapse And Die. When Only Allah, The One, The Everlasting, Is Left, The World Will Have Undergone A Complete Transformation And Will Be Stretched Flat And Wrinkle-free. On The Third Blast Of The Trumpet Known As Nafakhat Al Qiyam Li-rabbil-alamin, Allah Will Then Chastise His Creation, At Which Point Everyone Will Rise From The Dead In Their Respective Places On The Transformed Earth. See, For Instance, Surah Taha, Ayats 105–108, And The E.ns Thereof, As Well As Surah Ibrahim, Ayat 48.
That Example, They Won’t Know That They Had Been Dead And Had Been Brought Back To Life After A Long Time; Instead, They Would Believe That They Had Slept Off And Been Abruptly Awakened By Some Awful Tragedy, And That They Were Escaping It. Who Will Respond In This Instance Is Unclear. After Some Time, It’s Possible That They Would Learn To Their Horror That It Was The Same Thing That God’s Messengers Told Them About But That They Had Been Deceiving Them About. It’s Also Possible That The Believers Would Correct Their Misconception And Explain To Them That What They Were Really Experiencing Was The Afterlife, Not Coming Up From Sleep. Additionally, It’s Possible That The Angels Will Inform Them Of This And That They Will Deduce It From The Overall Circumstances Present On The Day Of The Resurrection.
When Unbelievers And Polytheists, Sinners And Offenders, Are Brought Before Allah, He Will Inform Them Of This. (From Sura Yaseen)
To Comprehend This, It Is Important To Keep In Mind That The Righteous Believers Won’t Be Kept From The Plain Of Resurrection, But Rather, They Will Be Brought To Paradise Straight Away Without Being Held Accountable Or After A Light Reckoning Since Their Records Will Be Spotless. They Won’t Have To Wait Around While The Court Conducts Its Hearing. Due To Their Wisdom, The Righteous People Whom You Used To Mock And Regard As Foolish Are Now Enjoying The Pleasures Of Paradise, And You, Who In Your Own Estimation Were Very Prudent And Sagacious, Are Being Condemned To Accountability For Your Deeds, Allah Will Inform The Guilty, Who Will Be Required To Render Their Accounts, In The Plain Of Resurrection. This May Signify One Of Two Things:
(1) Separate You From The Upright Believer. Although You May Have Shared A Community, Clan, Or Brotherhood In The World, There Is No Longer Any Link Or Contact Between You And Them In This Place.
(2) Separate You From One Another So That You Are No Longer A Group. Your Whole Party System Has Been Dissolved. Your Relationships With Everyone Have Been Broken. Each Of You Will Now Be Held Personally Accountable For Your Acts And Conduct. (From Sura Yaseen)
The Imam Then Questions If The Passage “Atiullaha Wa Ati-ur-rasula Wa Ulil-amri Min-kum” Commands Muslims To Adore The Prophet And The Governing Authorities If Ibadat Is The Same As Itaat. He Himself Responds As Follows: If Submission To Them Is In Conformity With Allah’s Directives, Then It Is Submission To And Worship Of Allah (Ibadat) (Itaat). The Angels Did Not Bow Down Before Adam As Per Allah’s Instruction. All Of This Was Just Adoration Of Allah. Only When The Rulers Are Obedient In Subjects For Which Allah Has Not Granted Permission Will Their Obedience Be Considered Adoration. (From Sura Yaseen)
Then He Adds: Whether Someone Approaches You And Gives You Instructions, You Should Check To See If They Are In Line With Allah’s Instructions Or Not. If Not, Satan Is With Him; Thus, If You Followed Him In Doing So, You Were Both Worshipping Him And His Satan. Similarly, If You Have A Strong Want To Do Anything, Check To See Whether The Sahariah Permits It Or Not Before Acting. If It’s Forbidden, Either Satan Is With It Or You Are Satan.
If You Followed His Orders, You Were In Reality Guilty Of Adoring Him. But There Are Several Levels Of Worshipping Satan, The Author Continues. It Sometimes Occurs That A Guy Does A Task While Simultaneously Being Assisted By His Limbs, Tongue, And Heart. Another Time, A Guy Utilises His Limbs To Do A Task, But His Heart And Tongue Do Not Support Him. Some Individuals Sin Even Though Their Hearts Are Revolting, Their Tongues Are Pleading With Allah For Mercy, And They Openly Acknowledge That They Are Doing Wrong.
This Is The Worship Of Satan Through Physical Objects. Other Individuals Also Engage In Criminal Activity While Maintaining Composure And Verbally Expressing Their Joy And Satisfaction. That Is, You May Have A Cause To Provide An Explanation If You Had Been Devoid Of Reason And Had Served Your Adversary Rather Than Your Lord. However, Despite The Fact That Allah Had Endowed You With Reason, Which You Were Using To Your Advantage In All Aspects Of Worldly Affairs, And That Allah Had Forewarned You Through The Prophets, When You Were Duped By Your Enemy And He Was Successful In Leading You Astray, You Were Still Held Accountable For Your Foolishness.
This Order Will Be Provided In Response To The Obstinate Offenders Who Will Deny Their Guilt, Disbelieve The Witnesses, And Also Refuse To Admit The Veracity Of Their Conduct-book. Then Allah, The Almighty, Will Say: “Well, Stop Talking.” See What Your Own Limbs Have To Say About Your Transgressions. Only The Evidence To Be Provided By The Hands And Feet Has Been Discussed In This Context. (From Sura Yaseen)
However, In Some Locations, It Has Been Said That A Person’s Eyes, Ears, Tongue, And Even Skin Will Reveal Their Occupation In The Outside World. They Must Keep In Mind The Day When Their Own Lips, Hands, And Feet Will Testify To Their Wrongdoing. When Everyone Arrives, Their Ears, Eyes, And Their Skin Would Testify Against Them About What They Had Been Doing In The World (Surah An-noor, Ayat 24). (Ayat 20 Of Surah Hamim-sajdah).
The Contradiction Between Allah’s Statement That “We Will Shut Their Lips” And His Statement That “Their Tongues Will Give Witness Against Them” In Surah An-noor Verse Raises An Issue. How Can We Reconcile These Two Things? The Correct Response Is: To Shut Their Lips Is To Rob Them Of Their Ability To Speak. In Other Words, They Won’t Be Allowed To Speak Anyway They Like In The Future. Their Own Tongues Will Testify As To How The Evil People Exploited Them, What Blasphemies And Lies They Were Forced To Speak, What Pranks They Had Thought Up, And What Lies They Had Been Forced To Tell On Various Occasions. After Seeing The Resurrection Scenario, The Populace Is Given The Following Warning: Even While The Resurrection May Still Seem Far Off, If You Take A Close Look At The Life You Have Now—of Which You Are So Proud—you Will Realise Just How Weak You Are In The Hands Of Allah. Your Eyes, Which Serve As The Means By Which You Do All Of Your Duties In This World, Are Subject To Being Blinded By Allah With Only One Of His Commands. Your Legs, Which Are Supporting All Of This Activity, Are Subject To Paralysis At Allah’s Discretion. You Continue To Be Lost In Your Own Conceit As Long As The Talents And Powers Allah Gave You Are Still In Operation, But As Soon As One Of Them Stops Working, You Realise How Powerless You Are.
When Allah Says, “Reverse Him In Creation,” He Intends To Bring Him Back To His Youthful Form In Old Age. He Is Fed By Others, Urinates And Defecates In Bed, Speaks Incoherently, And Is Made Fun Of By Others As He Becomes Unable To Stand And Move Without Assistance And Support From Others. In Other Words, When His Life Comes To A Conclusion, He Reverts To The Condition Of Frailty With Which He Had Begun It. (From Sura Yaseen)
This Is An Answer To The Unbelievers Who Dissed The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) And His Message By Calling Him A Poet While He Preached Tauhid And Discussed The Hereafter, Life After Death, Hell, And Heaven. (For More Clarification, See To Surah Ash-shuara, Ayats 224–227 And The E.ns Thereof.)
Every Living Person Is Defined As: Every Individual Who Is Able To Think And Understand, And Who Is Not A Stone That Cannot Hear, Understand, Or Move From Its Position, Regardless Of How Logically And Sympathetically One May Explain The Difference Between Truth And Falsehood And Issue A Warning In Front Of Him. Allah’s Symbolic “Hands” Have Been Employed Before. This Is Meant To Convey The Idea That Allah Created These Things Entirely On His Own, Without The Assistance Of Anybody Else, Rather Than That, God Forbid, Allah Has A Body And Uses His Hands To Create Things As Humans Do.
Regarding A Blessing As A Gift From Someone Other Than The Giver, Expressing Appreciation To Them For It, And Clinging To The Expectation Of Getting It Or Actively Seeking It Out From Someone Other Than The Giver Are All Examples Of Ingratitude. The Act Of Using A Blessing Against The Wishes Of The Giver Is Likewise Unthankful. Therefore, Even If Someone Expresses Gratitude Simply With Their Lips, They Cannot Be Considered To Be A Grateful Servant Of God Since They Are Either Mushriks, Unbelievers, Hypocrites, Or Sinners.
None Of The Non-muslims In Makkah Claimed That The Other Gods Had Anything To Do With The Creation Of The Livestock; They All Agreed That Allah Had Created Them. Nevertheless, Even Understanding All Of This, When They Expressed Verbal Thanks To Their Deities For The Bounties Allah Had Bestowed Upon Them, Made Offerings To Them, Prayed To Them For Additional Blessings, And Offered Sacrifices In Their Honour, Their Verbal Expressions Of Gratitude Lost All Significance. Because Of This, Allah Has Judged Them To Be Ungrateful And Unthankful. (From Sura Yaseen)
