Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority will construct nine footbridges on the ‘Dahisar-Gundavali Mumbai Metro 7’ route for the convenience and ease of commuters. The Dindoshi Bridge will provide easy access for commuters to the Dindoshi Metro Station via the Expressway, and the National Park Bridge will facilitate commuting to the National Park Metro Station via the Expressway.
Out of nine, two footbridges at Dindoshi and National Park have been completed. Hence, since May 11, these bridges have been opened for pedestrians, making it easier for commuters to reach the metro station. While the National Park footbridge is four meters wide and 83 meters long, the Dindoshi footbridge is 112 meters long and four meters wide. As the number of commuters traveling on Route 7 increases, MMRDA plans to construct a footbridge to provide better facilities to the existing commuters and attract new commuters.
