The newly launched ‘MO GHARA’ (Government Housing Assistance in Rural Areas) scheme aims to provide adequate financial support to enable rural households to construct pucca houses. The scheme is going to be implemented by State Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department. It will enable rural households to build new houses along with upgradation or extension of their existing houses for a secured living.

• Housing loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be provided.
• The loans can be repaid in 10 years time duration.
• Loans can be repaid before the time.
• No prepayment charges will be applicable
• Applicants can invest 10% in the loan in the form of cash or labor.
• The applicants can get the benefits of rural sanitation, drinking water, electrification and other benefits.
• No processing fee will be charged by the banks.
• The capital subsidy which will be released in the loan account can be used to further make the loan repayments.
